What you need to know:
Tuition Policy
Tuition is due the first of the month September through June.  However it is NOT a monthy
rate.  Some months have more/less classes than others.  Even though only one week of
classes is schedule in June a full June payment is made.

Tuition amounts are calculated on a yearly basis.  For your convenience they have been
broken down into 10 monthly or 2 semester payment amounts.  Total tuition is based on a
minimum of 35 weeks of classes.  Should any class meet less than 35 weeks, makeup
classes will be scheduled in the spring close to recital time.
Missed Classes
Please call the studio to let us know if you will be missing a class.

Refunds or pro-rated tuition amounts will not be given due to missed classes.  Any
missed class may be made up by taking a similar class within the same month.  Please
keep in mind the importance of coming to class, especially as recital time nears.  Other
class members rely on the entire group to practice the dances and prepare for the show.

Dress Code and Shoes
Proper attire helps both the student and the teacher accomplish their goals in the classroom.

Recreational Classes:  No street clothes or shoes.  Please wear a leotard and tights.  Ballet
skirts are permitted.  We will order the appropriate dance shoes at the studio during the first
week of classes.  You will need to have the studio approved shoes for recital.  However, if you
have other shoes that fit  you may wear them for class.

For all classes:       No dangling or excessive jewelry.   Hair should be secured off the face
and neck.
Etiquette
No gum chewing.  No food or drink (other than water) in the classrooms.  Respect should be
shown to teachers and other students.  No cell phones, toys or other distractions should be
brought into the classroom.  (This does not apply to sharing items brought in by Creative
Movement students.)
Waiting Room
Because we want everyone to feel comfortable while waiting before and during class time
some simple rules should be followed:
•        No running or yelling
•        No acrobatics
•        No playing on or near mats
•        Please clean up after snacks
•        Toddler area is for small children only
•        When warming up or practicing please be courteous to those around you.
Recital
The recital will be held at the end of the year.  Each dancer must have a costume in order
to be in the recital.  Although costumes are ordered in the fall, every effort will be made to
secure a costume for any student joining a class later in the year.  In some cases this will
not be a possibility and you will be informed at the time you sign up for class.

A $25 per family recital fee will be billed in April.  You will receive two recital tickets with
your paid fee.  Additional souvenir items (DVD, flowers, etc.)  as well as additional tickets
will be available for purchase in May.
Costumes
At the time of registration, a $30 costume deposit per student is due.  This is
non-refundable.  The balance of the costume payment will be due at the time they are
ordered (sometime in December.  Every effort will be made to keep the cost of costumes
reasonable.  Costume costs will include the costumes and any accessories.  The purchase
of tights and shoes is the additional responsibility of the student (see your teacher for the
proper type/color).  Some classes will have more than one costume.
